I'm a CT teacher visiting Florida, and I wanted to share today's editorial in the Tampa Bay Times. One of my school district teachers lost her daughter in the Newtown shootings.
It shows all the Newtown victims, along with the politicians who voted against background checks. The Tampa Bay Times devoted an entire page to both the victims and politician's pictures. Please rec this editorial up - it has currently 68 'thumbs down'.
On another Friday morning just four months ago, these 20 first-graders were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.And these six educators died trying to protect them.
This week, 45 senators forgot those faces and ignored our voices. They voted against expanding background checks for gun buyers.
